Bear Knoll
Alaska14--4
As the sun was falling behind the mountainthe air was taking on a damp chill and the shadows were growing deeper. The freshly deposited tree limb in the middle of the trail was coated in fine brown hairenough to give a scare after seeing the rifleman jogging off the mountain not 30minutes before... It was nothing special in many waysbut the experienced couple knew the chill on the spine clearly meant it was time to turn and retreat to the even coldermore harsh human world for dubious protection unavailable upon the knoll.
